TheCarbonForge #018 This amazing Zylon/Carbon Fiber Ring Lined with Straight Cut Fordite has a beautiful bronze color that reflects light In the most unique way. The straight cut fordite reveals beautiful colored layers that adds a nice pop. -Zylon- Zylon is a synthetic fiber that has been developed to be incredibly strong and durable. It is made from a special type of polymer that is woven into a fiber, which is then used to make a variety of products. Zylon is resistant to cuts, abrasions, and even extreme temperatures. One of the most impressive properties of Zylon is its strength. It is five times stronger than steel, yet much lighter in weight. This makes it an ideal material for use in products that require strength and durability without adding unnecessary weight. For example, Zylon is used in the making of bicycle spokes, ropes and cables for suspension bridges, where it can support the weight of hundreds of cars and trucks without breaking, and even in the Mars Exploration Rover Parachute. Zylon’s superior cut and abrasion resistance make it extremely difficult for me to work with. For this reason, you’ll likely not find anyone else making rings from it, even though the striking bronze color makes for a very unique and eye-catching design. -Gloss Finish- My rings are built to last. The gloss finish accentuates the underlying carbon fiber, kevlar, zylon, etc.. for ultimate visual effect. Unlike most, who use CA (superglue) as a gloss finish, I use automotive clear coat, which has far better gloss retention, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. I'm all about keeping it real.
If you're looking for rings that can handle daily wear, our gloss finish rings have got you covered, but if you're a bit more... um, rough around the edges, our satin or polish finish rings are the way to go. They'll survive even the toughest of days. -Standard Fordite- What is Fordite, you ask? It's actually a very cool recycled material that comes from the factory auto paint process! It builds up in colorful layers over time, and I laminate thin slabs together to create thicker pieces that are more workable. Just a heads up, the colors in standard fordite may vary from the photos, so if you're looking for something specific check out my premium fordite selection or contact me in the “Message Seller” to choose from my stock! I finish fordite in satin as it’s the most comfortable, but if you prefer polished just let me know. Whether you're getting married, looking to add a unique piece to your collection, or searching for an amazing gift for a car enthusiast, this ring is the perfect choice. Order yours today and enjoy a piece of wearable art that you'll love to show off! Please reach out using the “Message Seller” section with any questions you may have.
